Vitaly Paley, owner of a gourmet restaurant in Portland, Oregon, reckons current energy bars are "garbage" with the consistency of "sawdust." His new bars are stuffed with tasty organic ingredients, wrapped in eco-friendly packaging.
Russian-American chef in quest to produce tasty energy bar
Paley mixed his first batch of bars in September 2003 and by December had his packaged ‘Paley Bars’ in the hands of cyclists at the December 14th opening day of the 2003 National Cyclocross Championships in Portland.
