Santini unveils Vega Xtreme jacket

Santini Cycling Wear has created the Vega Xtreme jacket, designed to tackle extreme weather conditions with ease.

The jacket was road-tested during the 2018 Milano-Sanremo by the members of the Trek-Segafredo team, who it protected from torrential rain both at the start-line and throughout the race.

The Vega Xtreme was unveiled at the Eurobike fair and is made in collaboration with Polartec, and its conception and development are detailed in a thermoplastic inside label.

The jacket features an outer layer of Polartec Windbloc which protects the wearer from wind, rain and damp as well as guaranteeing superb stretch, breathability and body heat balance.

Polartec Alpha is used on the inside of the collar to keep this area warm while still allowing optimal sweat evaporation.

The collar lining is an ultralight, insulating fabric that regulates body heat while guaranteeing rapid drying and excellent breathability.

The raw cut sleeves are made from padded fleece with a completely waterproof outer PU layer at the wrists and a longer back for maximum protection.

Visibility on the road is guaranteed too by two orange stripes on the shoulders that also feature small reflective dots and the Santini logo on the back.

There is also a waterproof zip back pocket to keep valuables safe and dry.

UK pricing on the Vega Xtreme will be £210.
