Scalextric gets into cycling for 2012

Scalextric has released details of its first-ever cycling set ahead of the London 2012 Olympics.

The firm has produced a set based on the Velodrome, and to be backed by a major TV marketing campaign.

The set was seen in the flesh for the first time last week at Toy Fair, at Olympia, London.

Scalextric brand owner Hornby revealed it had been granted the licence to produce official London 2012 merchandise for its Corgy, Hornby, Scalextric and Airfix brands in July 2009.
