The first Welsh Cycling Festival was part of this years Millennium Festival of Cycling and attracted 1500 people from many parts of Europe. The 2001 show will again be at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells and up to 5000 visitors are expected.
The Welsh Cycling Union (WCU) and CTC Cymru have secured four figure backing for the second Welsh summer cycling extravaganza next year.
