The fourth annual Scottish Bike Show, taking place over the weekend of April 5th to 6th, has revealed it is almost at capacity and will be welcoming Sir Chris Hoy on the Saturday.
Taking place again at the Emirates Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Pinarello, Hoy Bikes and Cycling for Comrades are confirmed partners for the 2014 show, which is organised by Magdala Media.
New comers to SBS 2014 come in the form of VAM Performance, Planet X, Shand Cycles, Olmo, Gamma Transport Division, among others, as well as welcoming back regular exhibitors such as Dolan, Continental, Kiddimoto, Primal Europe and Hero Eco.
Sir Chris Hoy said: “It’s great to see the Scottish Bike Show back and even bigger than last year. There’s a lot on offer across the weekend with a packed schedule and some of the biggest brands showcasing their latest gear. I’m excited to be there with my new range of HOY bikes and although slightly biased, hope everyone likes them as much as I do.”
Show founder Rowan Mackie added: "We’re nearly full to capacity and if the show was to take place tomorrow we would be ready. The list of exhibitors is already superb and there are a few more to confirm over the next month. On top of this we have a host of new features and interactive displays taking place over the weekend which I believe will make this the strongest SBS to date.
"Our very own velodrome, SBS Theatre, 3 test tracks for all age and ability ranges, Bike stunt teams, spinning classes with plenty more to be confirmed will keep the public busy. Needless to say I am delighted that Sir Chris Hoy will be joining us and showcasing his full brand of bikes to the visitors at SBS 2014."
