Scottish Bike Show announces new dates and venue

Organisers of the Scottish Bike Show, Magdala Media, have announced a date and venue switch for 2013.

The event is now set to take place between 27th – 28th April 2013 at the new Commonwealth Arena & Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Glasgow. The purpose built Arena will be completed by October 2012 specifically for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014.

Boasting a 5,700 m2 hall containing the indoor athletics track, the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and a 1km outside cycle test track, the state of the art facilities will provide ample space and plenty of consumer appeal to the next exhibition.

Rowan Mackie, Magdala Media said: "From the moment I completed the site visit two months ago even when the Arena was under construction, I knew this is the new home of the SBS 2013. We have had a great two year’s at the previous location, SECC, Glasgow and now is the time to make the next step in delivering a fantastic show for 2013. A larger hall, our very own velodrome and an extensive outdoor cycle test track will provide new and past exhibitors with more options to showcase their products and give visitors more interactivity over the two day show."

Glasgow Sport, part of Glasgow City Council, has pledged its support of the event and organisers now believe they can smash through the 10,000 visitor mark for the first time.

The new website and SBS Sportive details will be released soon. Trade members interested in the show can contact: info@magdalamedia.com for more information and follow the SBS on Facebook or Twitter.
