And show organiser Magdala Media has 'Another Night with Graeme Obree' in the works

Scottish Bike Show confirms 2014 dates

Organiser Magdala media has confirmed to BikeBiz that the Scottish Bike Show 2014 will take place over the weekend of April 5th to 6th April.

This year’s event, the third so far, saw over 5,400 visitors attend the show based at the new Emirates Arena and Sir Chris Hoy velodrome.

Magdala Media has also announced its new website is up and running at www.magdalamedia.com.

Founder Rowan Mackie said: "After three years of a holding page with ‘website coming soon’ I am happy to have the new site online, so the trade and public have a little more information as to who Magdala Media are and what we do.

"I’m really looking forward to all the forthcoming projects, with the Pedal for Scotland 2013 event coming up next. It’s now in its 14th year and is the biggest sportive ride in Scotland with over 10,000 riders each year. The finish line at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh will hold a Carnival of events and cycling affiliated stalls for both riders and the general public to enjoy. It’s already looking to be the biggest event to date."

Magdala Media will also be producing ‘Another Night with Graeme Obree’ celebrating Obree’s quest to become the fastest man on two wheels on his hand built bike the ‘Beastie’.

Mackie added: "The first event we held in November at Ronde Bicycle Outfitters, Edinburgh last year sold out in threeweeks and was restricted to 100 visitors. Due to the popularity of Graeme we were inundated with requests for another event, so that’s we are working on right now."

The location has been shortlisted to two potential Glasgow venues taking place in November as an exclusive ticketed event for an audience of 400 Obree enthusiasts.
