Crankbrothers’ luggage range includes the big, tough and simple Baseline Gear Bag for £99.99. The gigantic main compartment has enough space to carry plenty of gear for a week in the Alps or at a 24 hour race. The outer front pocket is perfect for smaller items like keys, money and spares.

The AGU Yamaska 475 Carrierbag uses a ‘Smile system’ which allows the user to enlarge the bag’s capacity from 7.2 to 10.2 litres. There’s also a cord on top to attach extra luggage. It’s fitted with shock absorbing inner lining to protect fragile contents and it retails at £54.99. The AGU Ventura 135 is made of strong, lightweight durable 600D Polyester with a water repellent coating and a £64.99 RRP.

Polaris
Polaris has a whole range of bike bags and cases, from its stylish re-designed cargo bag, to the EVA Bike Pod, which – BikeBiz is told – is one of Polaris’ best selling items. Polaris also has the Bike Pod Pro which is designed and made in the UK. It is available in three colours – green, black and blue.

In production is a pannier, which you may have spied at Core Bike last January. There’s also a range of cycle-specific dry bags – sub-branded the Aquanoughts. That range features four styles, a holdall, a rucksack, a courier bag and a 110 litre trolley bag. These are to be available in three colour options, fluro yellow, white and black.

Coyote sports stocks ranges of luggage from M-Wave, FastRiders and Tour De France branded. The M-Wave range covers rear pannier bags, both double and triple, as well as handlebar bags, seat bags in both standard and Q/R and front bags. The Tour de France range is coloured coded in the tradition yellow while the portfolio of FastRiders luggage is broken down into the Classic range of leather-look panniers and seat bags and also the Evolution range of 100 per cent waterproof bags.

The fabric itself is highly durable, Raleigh informs BikeBiz, and the range is kitted out with Rixen Kaul Klickfix fittings, featuring padded construction for additional protection and rigidity. Oxford’s luggage range includes the OF714 Bar Bag. Karrimor’s Lightweight rucksack range is aimed at not only cyclists, but also climbers, walkers and runners. Offering stability and comfort within light Karrimor frames, the Re-Fuel range allows for hydration on the move. The Re-Fuel 2+2 comes with bladder included and a removable waistbelt. Wildoo
Wildoo’s recently launched Pro Custom Bike Bag uses an aluminium chassis into which the front and rear dropouts mount so that the bike is secure and will not ‘float’ around the bag. The chassis also has an integral derailleur protector so the frame and gears cannot be bent or crushed during transit.

Wildoo says: "The design is far lighter and less bulky than a bike box and is favoured by professional riders as you only need to take out the wheels so the bike can be packed or unpacked in seconds. The compact form will fit in the boot of most medium/large estate cars, SUVs, 4x4s and so on. Two wheel bags are included with Velcro straps to secure either side of the frame.”
