Shared-transport charity Car Plus Bike Plus rebrands to expand

Shared-transport charity Carplus Bikeplus has rebrandedĀ as CoMoUK, short for “collaborative mobility.” Bikeplus represented the shared bike sector, including so-called “dockless” companies, and was originally an offshoot of Carplus, which represented car-sharing companies.

“The shift to CoMoUK will help to enable more effective integration between these and new shared modes,” said a statement from the charity.

CoMoUK aims to represent all shared-transport modes, including car clubs, bike share, 2+ rideshare, and emerging modes such as ā€œon demandā€ buses and scooter sharing. The charity ā€“ which also gets a new website ā€“ carries out research to illustrate the impacts of the sector, and promotes best practice. In addition, CoMoUK offers technical advice and consultancy services.
