Shimano component sales jump 19.7 per cent year on year

Shimano has posted strong third quarter results, with the bicycle component sector leading the way with a sales increase of 19.7 per cent when compared to the previous year’s figures.

As a result, income from this division has increased to 123,152 million Yen and operating income increased 79.4 per cent to 23,976 million Yen.

Overall business performance forecasts have, however, been revised. The firm is now predicting fiscal 2010 figures to stand at ordinary income of 27,000 million Yen and net income to be 18,500 million Yen.
