Rovenica leather and Shimano's heat molding custom fit tech utilised in new shoes

Shimano introduces new top-end MTB and road shoes

Shimano has introduced new top-level shoes for road racing (SH-R315) as well as for mountain biking (SH-M315).

Both models are tailored form Rovenica leather, chosen thanks to its light and supple qualities. The material is also highly shape retentative and strong, thus is ideal for a cyclist’s shoe as it provides great stabilitiy.

Combined with Shimano’s heat moldable Custom-Fit
technology, the new models offer great power transfer thanks to the tailored, yet comfortable feel.

Each custom mold heats and reshapes the upper panels, heel cups and insoles to perfectly match the shape of your customer’s foot.

SH-R315 is Shimano’s new high-end SPD-SL shoe with a lightweight hollow channel sole of a weaved carbon fiber. It features multi-layered moisture control mesh and anti-slip heel lining, knitted with metal fiber. It has been designed with a low-profile micro-adjust buckle and dual off-set straps. Weight is 523 grams per pair.

Yauheni Hutarovich (Francaise des Jeux) won the second stage of the Vuelta a Espana using this new model.

SH-M315 is Shimano’s new range-topping SPD shoe with an ultra-rigid, long carbon fibre shank sole with tuned heel flex. Optional toe spikes increase traction in sand or loose dirt. The model also features a low-profile micro-adjust buckle and dual off-set straps. Anti-slip heel lining knitted with metal fiber again prevents heel lift. Weight is 686 grams per pair.
