New Specialized Kingston concept store promoted via bike saddle cover handouts

Sigma Sport uses OnYerbikeSeat to raise Specialized store awareness

Sigma Sport has used the services of OnYerBikeSeat – the custom saddle cover maker – to promote its new Specialized concept store in Kingston.

Handing out the promotional covers with a leaflet detailing the store, combined with a special offer, the return of the enclosed voucher is said to have provided traceability to the success of the store’s marketing effort.

Calvin Cox, marketing manager at Sigma Sport UK said of the promotion: "The bike seat covers from onyerbikeseat.com offered us a unique solution to our objective of enhancing our local brand awareness, the quality of the product is second to none, allowing the covers to be regularly re used and not become a throw away item. We combined our campaign with a leaflet and offer, to drive footfall and provide traceability. The team at onyerbikeseat.com were more than happy to arrange printing and stuffing of these leaflets, saving us time and money.

"Our distribution of the seat covers has begun and we’ve already seen a number returned to the store to redeem their offers. We will continue to distribute the seat covers around Kingston and Surrey throughout the summer with aim of more than 1,000 bikes covered by August."

David Palmer of OnYerBikeSeat.com continues "OnYerBikeSeat was delighted when Sigma Sport contacted us about a planned local brand awareness campaign for the Specialized, Kingston. Timing is often everything. With the launch of our new mini-pouch bike seat cover in February – this cover was the perfect fit for this project. Working closely with the Specialized marketing team, a bike seat cover and ‘store voucher’ insert was produced and inserted into the mini-pouch."
