Silverfish gets excited by 69 Stiffees

Sixty nine Cove Stiffees will be built for the UK market, equipped with top-end kit, and all built around Cove Stiffee FR Easton RAD frames.

"We said we’d never do bikes but the demand for Cove has been so strong that we felt compelled to offer at least built up Stiffee’s for next season," said Darren Mabbott of Cove importer Silverfish.

"And having easy access to top end components and the best brands in the business, we decided to do it on our own terms."

To be called the Cove Stiffee FR 69er, the bikes will all be individually numbered and will only be available from UK Cove dealers.

The bikes will feature Fox TALAS RLC forks, Hope disc brakes front and rear with custom 69er rotors, Race Face finishing kit (including Turbine cranks, Deus stem, XY seatpost and Thermo SP headset), XT rear mech and shifters, Mavic freeride rims handbuilt onto XT hubs, a custom 69er SDG Bel Air saddle and IRC tyres.

Silverfish is the UK importer of Race Face and SDG.

"The bikes will also have custom 69er Cove Stiffee decal kits and feature a number of tweaks to the frame that aren’t available on the current Stiffee FR frames," said Mabbott.

"The frame will be disc specific, features new custom cable stops and utilises under-the-top-tube cable routing. It’s also a rather fetching light sky blue colour which looks the dogs with a black Race Face finishing kit and pewter coloured forks! Each bike will be signed by the builder."

And the Cove Peeler DH frame first shown at October’s Interbike in Las Vegas is now

available, with a retail of £1795. It’s available in white only.
