Simon Beatson transfers to Ritchey’s international sales team

US components manufacturer Ritchey has recently appointed Simon Beatson as their area sales manager within the international sales team.

Beatson will transfer from Ritchey’s UK distributor Paligap, and is set to help the brand with creating and establishing a strong network of Ritchey bicycle dealers in the UK and certain EU countries. Following a career in bicycle retail, he joined Paligap in 2011, and has managed the growth of several brands. His experience will be a huge asset in establishing Ritchey’s network of bicycle dealers alongside their components range, which will continue to be distributed by Paligap. His background in educating consumers and in-store staff will bring invaluable support in bringing the brand’s high-quality range of complete bikes to the UK and Europe.

For 2017, Paligap will keep on managing the distribution of Ritchey’s accessories line, and Ritchey will take direct control of their bicycle dealers. The two companies will work in partnership to ensure dealers and consumers receive the best possible level of service.

Paligap owner David Lane said: “Simon’s job transfer is made possible by the strong partnership between Paligap and Ritchey International. The move is one that will only strengthen the brand throughout Europe. We’re looking forward to seeing the results and continuing Ritchey’s 40-year heritage. All of Paligap wish Simon great success within his new role.”

Ritchey’s international global director of sales, Riccardo Deliziosi, commented: “Ritchey are very happy to welcome to the team such an experienced and passionate person, and are wishing Simon all the best in this new challenge.”

Paligap is currently advertising for Simon’s replacement, with a job advert running on Bikebiz’s job board.
