Smooth bike jitters with new action-cam gimbal

DJI’s Osmo gimbal is perfect for smoothing out the bumps and jumps of smartphone camera footage but it requires one hand to be off the handlebar, which can be dangerous. But now there’s an on-bike three-axis gimbal which can accomodate GoPro and other actioncams. (Gimbal technology is used in drone videography and results in rock-steady footage even in high winds.) FeiyuTech’s WG2 gimbal can be fitted to a bike.

FeiyuTech founder Eric Wei said: “The WG2 inspires everyone to up their videography game, whether they’re an amateur or professional photographer or hobbyist who likes to document their holidays. Every video is smooth moving and higher quality with a WG2 gimbal.

“The device supports slow motion shooting so users can get creative. Its compact size means it’s mountable anywhere – helmet, chest, bag, bike, car, paddle board and kayak."

The £299.99 WG2 is compatible with action cameras with a maximum weight of 130g, including the GoPro Hero 5, HERO 4, Session, and others.
