Bristol based charity Life Cycle UK opens its doors as a City and Guilds accredited training centre

South West to benefit from new bike mechanic training centre

From Summer 2016, Life Cycle UK will offer City & Guilds “Level 2 Cycle Mechanic” courses at a new purpose-built workshop in Bristol.

The charity, which has been running cycling projects since 1999, will run three City & Guilds Level 2 courses per year at the price of £1,000 per trainee (inc. VAT).

Life Cycle UK’s Development Manager, Ed Norton, said: Our hugely experienced team already teach City & Guilds qualifications at HMP Bristol as part of our Lottery funded bike recycling work. After passing our External Quality Assessment with flying colours, running Level 2 courses for the paying public was the logical next step. We’re delighted to open our doors and look forward to helping bike shops across the region to reduce their training costs.”

Life Cycle UK’s first public course will run two days per week for five consecutive weeks, starting on Monday 6th June. More dates, with a range of different delivery options, will be added in the coming weeks.
