WiFLi cuts weight and makes set-up (and shifting) easier and quicker, says brand

SRAM brings WiFLi to Red and Force

SRAM road is bringing its ‘WiFLi’ drivetrain technology – a 2×10 system with wider gearing options – to SRAM Red and Force.

Designed to make set-up and shifting faster and easier, WiFLi (Wider – Faster – Lighter) also reduces weight – over 250 grams, according to the brand.

The WiFLi Red and Force options were showcased at this month’s Sea Otter.

"WiFLi delivers an expanded gear range with the world’s first 11-32 10-speed cassette for road, combined with a compact (50/34) front chainring.

"The rear derailleur (RD) lengthens its cage and gets a slight variation in geometry, and is known as a mid-cage RD, that can compensate for wide range cassettes. The system delivers a wider gear range than the standard triple chainring system and saves well over 250 grams."

SRAM will begin shipping in June. There’s more on the technical detail over on the official SRAM site and more SRAM news here.
