SRAM founder Stan Day to appear at Fisher Expo

SRAM founder and president Stan Day has confirmed his attendence to Fisher Outdoor Leisure’s February Expo.

Day, who started the firm with his brother F.K. in Chicago’s west side in 1987, is set to be present at the Sopwell House show on Sunday 20th and for much of Monday 21st February to meet and chat with dealers.

‘’It is a real pleasure to welcome Stan to Expo 2011’’ says Fisher’s head of marketing, Julie Dommett.

‘’Well respected globally and extremely knowledgeable about the bike industry, it’s great that Stan will be speaking at Expo. His presence offers our customers a great opportunity to come and hear from a true industry leader. Registration for the show is now live at fisherexpo.co.uk.’’

A perhaps lesser-known SRAM fact and one of Day’s introductions was the 2005 foundation of World Bicycle Relief. Since its formation, the scheme has supplied thousands of free, specially designed bikes to under developed and disaster stricken regions of Asia and Africa.
