Title to go bimonthly, boost print run to 15,000 and add supermarket distribution

Stone Leisure acquires Electric Bike magazine

Electric Bike Magazine, a publication founded by Peter Eland, has been sold to Stone Leisure who plan to boost the title with a 15,000 print run and supermarket distribution.

Following Eland’s retirement from publishing and the sale of Velovision recently, Stone Lesiure will take the reigns, putting the title alongside complimentary titles such as Motorhome and Campervan magazine in the publisher’s portfolio.

Bob Griffiths of Stone Leisure said: "We had already noted the growth of the e-bike market, and we’d started our own reviews website, the-bike.co.uk. So we were delighted when the opportunity came up with Electric Bike Magazine. The previous publisher has earned it a great reputation with advertisers and readers, and with our resources we are sure that we can take it to a new level. The electric bike market is hugely exciting to be part of right now, and we’re looking forward to helping the industry grow with a high-quality publication with real reach and impact."

The magazine will now be published on a bi-monthly cycle.

Peter Eland said: "I’m delighted that the title has found a new home with Stone Leisure and it’s been a pleasure working with them for the handover. They’ll be able to ensure that the magazine keeps pace with the rapidly-growing UK electric bike industry – and they have a real interest in and knowledge of e-bikes, so readers too are in safe hands. As I bow out, I’d like to thank the loyal advertisers and readers whose support has enabled me take the magazine to this stage, and I can’t wait to see how Stone Leisure develop the title in years to come."

Advertisers interested in joining Electric Bike should contact Helen or Stephanie at Stone Leisure on 01159 461146.

The magazine’s website remains www.electricbikemag.co.uk
