Gateshead’s Storck Raddar UK has been revealed as the largest international distributor for the German high-end bike brand Storck. The news was revealed at an international distributor meeting held at Storck’s HQ in Idstein, Germany.
Storck Raddar UK was set up three-and-a-half years ago to initially import Storck’s electric bikes. Company founder and industry veteran Ian Hughes later added Storck’s road bikes to the mix, and brought his son Trevor on board.
Last year, Storck Raddar UK won the Bike Biz Award for ‘Specialist Distributor’.
Ian Hughes said: “We are really happy to be recognised as Storck’s largest global distributor. I feel we have just started to really build the brand in the UK and have great plans to continue building in this sector and widen the Storck offering into mountain bike, triathlon and ‘cross."
Hughes added that the womens’ market would become increasingly important to the brand.
