Tannus gears up for the Cycle Show

What will you be showcasing this year?
This year we are excited to be announcing the pre-launch of our new, game-changing tyre, the “Portal”. Made with the latest version of our patented Aither technology, the Portal is the culmination of 14 years of engineering. Our goal has always been to produce a tyre that feels and performs like a pneumatic tyre, but with the added benefit of being 100 per cent puncture-free.

The portal does exactly that. It is super lightweight, will last for up to 9000 km with only 1.5mm of tread wear, but most significantly has a rolling resistance that can now compete with pneumatic tyres. We will be hosting talks on the “Tannus Airless Stage” each day and discussing how the new wave of airless tyres could reshape the cycling industry.

We will be at The Cycle Show at the NEC this coming Friday to Sunday, come and check out what our airless tyres are all about and grab yourself an offer of a lifetime – buy one, get one free! Only at the show.

What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
This year we are proud to be sponsoring the Cycling Show 2018 and the “Tannus Airless Stage” as well. The Cycle Show is always a fantastic opportunity to see the latest developments in the cycling industry and this year will be no exception. We always look forward to hearing talks from the wide variety of industry leading experts and professional riders.

How has 2018 been for Tannus Tyres?
2018 has been a huge year for Tannus as airless tyres are really starting to gain traction in the cycling industry. We are very pleased to announce our new UK distributors Moore Large who have taken over Tannus distribution in the UK from Coyote Sports. This new partnership represents a huge new transition towards airless and we are excited to expand Tannus in the UK with Moore Large. We have also seen Tannus distribution expanding in the rest of Europe with new distributors in Italy amongst others.

2018 has also seen us working with Specialised and Vittoria in R&D. We look forward to announcing the results of these partnerships at the up and coming bike show in Taipei at the end of October, which will also see Tannus launching a totally new product into the MTB market. Stay tuned for more information.
