StreetVelodrome has today announced a new partnership with Team GB’s Shanaze Reade and DeNovo kids bikes for the 2017 series.
Shaneze Reade will act as an ambassador and DeNovo will be the official bike partner for the kid’s series and the NextGen Series which launches at the London Bike Show on Saturday, February 18th.
The StreetVelodrome Sharks v Tigers and the NextGen series brings together two competitions aimed at inspiring the next generation of cycle sports enthusiasts and professionals. Each event in the nationwide series will see local children taking part in free cycle sport.
The DeNovo brand is distributed by Avocet in the UK where the brand is aimed at independent bike dealers as part of the distributor’s mission to support the local bike dealer market and encourage more children to get into cycling at a young age.
StreetVelodrome series director Carl Thompson said: “Riding a bike is just great fun. Kids love the freedom and excitement it gives them. The StreetVelodrome Kids Series captures that raw emotion and uses it to inspire kids to go on to do more cycling. Having the right bike is vital in helping young riders develop the confidence and skills they require. That’s why we are so grateful to the team at DeNovo for supporting the series.”
Avocet managing director Steven Walsh added: “We’re proud to be sponsoring this great initiative. The team at DeNovo share StreetVelodrome’s vision of creating greater access to cycling and cycle sport by providing entertaining, engaging and inspiring experiences. We’re committed to inspiring the next generation of top British cyclists and encouraging as many children and families to cycle more often.”
