According to US trade magazine Bicycle Retailer, Interbike 2001 will not be deflected by Tuesday’s terrorist atrocities.
The show is owned and organised by VNU, parent company of Bicycle Retailer.
"The announcement comes in response to the high volume of phone calls and emails received from international exhibitors, retailers, distributors, and industry affiliates planning to attend this year’s expo," said a report on http://www.bicycleretailer.com.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this terrible incident and we are praying for the safety, health and recovery of everyone involved. We hope that the tragedies of September 11th are behind us and the international bicycle industry will move forward with business, prosperity and peace," said Lance Camisasca, Interbike’s show director.
