Tickets sales up 47% for London Bike Show

VOS Media, organiser of The London Bike Show, has announced that ticket sales for the 2014 show are up 47 per cent year-on-year whilst over 500 trade members have already registered to attend on the opening day.

VOS expects the show will grow by one third again this year, taking over 15,000sqm of floor space at Excel London, with a record number of well-known brands having confirmed their presence at the event.

New additions to the extensive exhibitor list include Rapha, Vitus Bikes and Factor Bikes. Brands already signed-up to the show include Cannondale, HOY Bikes and Ribble.

Cycling media publishers Future Publishing, Factory Media, and IPC Media will all be supporting the show while the Telegraph has an extensive multiplatform marketing campaign, which VOS expects to lead to even further ticket sales and interest around the show.

2014 is Rapha’s second year as clothing partner to Team Sky and new and updated designs for 2014 will be available to buy at the show. A bespoke stand has been built to showcase the range, including the supporter collection and on-the-bike clothing. Visitors to the stand will also be able to see Team Sky’s kit and bike and the 2013 yellow jersey.

Rapha’s UK marketing manager Laura Bower said: “We’re extremely proud of the clothing we have developed for Team Sky and the technical innovations that have been achieved by working closely with the riders. The London Bike Show is our chance to show-off the range and substantial effort has gone into creating a unique and exciting stand that is a special experience for visitors and highlights our partnership with the world’s best team.”

VOS Media has also added in a new area within the Show called the ICS Fit Zone –which will be home to Cyclefit, Body Geometry Fit, Retul and BikeFitting.com for four days.

VOS Media group show director Geraldine Reeve added: “We’re delighted we’ve been able to add more key brands to our list of exhibitors in 2014. After such a busy 2013 Show, it was important we built on the momentum we’d established, especially with this year’s date shift, and we’ve certainly done that. The support of the bike industry and the Telegraph Media Group has provided a huge boost to our marketing campaign. I’ve worked in events for 10 years and have never seen such strong advanced ticket sales.

“The ICS Fit Zone offers yet another reason for visitors to attend and we’re delighted with the support the area has received. Visitors are going to have a fantastic experience – there’s so much to see and do.”
