Assistant store manager – Brick Lane Bikes

Brick Lane Bikes need a second assistant manager to help it manage the shop floor, ensure it promotes its products well and looks after its customers in the best possible way. The role will include amongst other things: to lead the shop floor team ensuring the best use of staff and correct flow of work, to ensure that the team deliver excellent customer service and sales, to help develop EPOS system (with it for nine months), so that it builds efficiencies into the business, to complete the beginning of day/end of day processes, and to oversee the smooth handling of sales – V12, Cycle Scheme(s), Splitit and any company invoicing.

Volunteer coordinator, Bike Back Derby – Life Cycle UK

Life Cycle UK is recruiting for the position of Bike Back volunteer coordinator for its successful Bike Back project. This is an important role as the successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting and retaining a team of volunteer mechanics responsible for prepping bikes ready for sale and selling bikes to the public during the weekly sales. The role is one day working directly with volunteers prepping and selling bikes and a half day for meetings, and development work with lead project mechanic and/or Life Cycle Derby manager.

Brand ambassador – Peloton

Peloton is looking for passionate ambassadors to build up its delivery operations. You’ll be responsible for providing five-star customer service in the delivery and set up of a high-tech stationary exercise bike, with a sleek 22-inch touchscreen HD screen. This isn’t like your usual delivery job where you’re alone on the road all day with little to no customer interaction. You’ll always have a Peloton ambassador riding along with you, helping to set up and present the bike. The Peloton bikes come pre-assembled into its warehouse, so don’t worry about being an expert on building or repairing bikes. You only have to screw in and tighten a few parts. Full training is provided.

Cycle hire shop supervisor – Go Further Cycling

Go Further Cycling has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join its great growing team. Working at its Cycle Hire shop on the edge of Epping Forest in Chingford, London, you will need to be able to provide the expected high standard of customer service. You will be responsible for the running of all aspects of Go Further Cycling. Duties will include supervising a small team of staff, looking after customers, checking in and out cycle hire bookings, hire bike safety checks and maintenance, sales of bikes and accessories using an EPOS system and operating its Bike Rental Manager system (training will be provided).

Workshop manager – Fudges Cycle Store

Fudges Cycle Store is looking for an enthusiastic cycle repair/mechanic person, preferably with retail experience to join its team with a view to expanding the business. You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and be willing to contribute your ideas. You must be reliable and above all interested in making the store a success. Its main brands are Specializied, Gocycle, Riese & Muller, Raleigh, Brompton,Tern and Birdy. 40+ hours a week, but scope for more. Key skills: strong e-bike sales skills, build, repair and servicing of all types of bikes, customer service and sales experience essential, reliable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about cycling, PDIs (& flapacks for mailorder), previous retail experience a benefit, computer literate, product knowledge of e-bikes, road, hybrid, BMX and mountain bikes, and a love for folding bikes and e-bikes. Cytech a benefit but not essential.
