Quick Step is the latest team to have signed up for the Tour of Britain which starts August 30th in Glasgow. Quick Step's Tom Boonen - currently winning all the sprints at the Tour de France - is a possible starter. Want to inform others about the arrival of the Tour of Britain in your neck of the woods? Tour of Britain: spread the word

Boonen, known as he ‘Flying Flem’, won the sprint finishes in Les Essarts and Tours at the Tour de France and could be in the Quick Step line-up at the Tour of Britain.

The other teams confirmed to date are T-Mobile, Mr Bookmaker-Sportstech, Barloworld-Valsir , Comunidad Valencia, Team Bridgestone, Recycling.co.uk MG, and the national teams of Great Britain, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Quick Step’s participation has yet to make it to http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/the_teams.htm but will in due course.

The Tour of Britain will be running its own promotional campaigns in the towns, cities and region the Tour visits but this is an early chance to start the ball rolling and raise awareness at an individual level by grassroots enthusiasts.
