Keen trade types went from the second of the Cycle and Leisure trade days [Esher] to the afternoon of the first Cycle 2003 trade day [Islington]. Will there be this much duplication next year?

Two trade shows on one day? Lovely.

Possibly not.

Both shows have their merits, and their champions.

More news on this will be on the site soon but for now here are three disparate pix.

The top one is the Schwinn Tango tandem. It’s been in the UK for three weeks. Availability is sometime soon and, at £400, it’s extremely keenly priced. Good window display material?

Down below is a pic of Bob Chicken Snr, who called for a London show at the BDC long before everybody else (eventually) got on the bandwagon. He has an ad on the back cover of the show catalogue, paid for by himself, featuring a Peter Searle pic of his hands. The message? Thanks to BCD and the Mayor of London for believing in the show…
