New event for handmade bicycle community opens in April next year

UK Handmade and Boutique Bike Show launches in Bristol

Independent makers and designers of bicycles are to get the chance to showcase their craft at a brand new event – the UK Handmade and Boutique Bicycle Show 2011.

Set in Bristol, the UK’s first Cycle City, small-scale makers of premium products, components, clothing and bike accessories will also be welcome at the show, which will be located at the historic Passenger Shed of Brunel’s old station.

The new show will run from Thursday April 28th to Sunday May 1st 2011.

According to event founder Bespoked Bristol’s Phil Taylor, the event was created because there was no opportunity in the UK for the handmade bicycle community to meet up and show their products.

There’s more information on the show at the official site.
