AVE owner says UK is "fastest growing territory," while distributor orders extra stock in

UK market for e-bikes finally moving?

Managing director for EBC, Paul Stanforth believes the electric bike market in the UK may be on the verge of playing catch up with mainland Europe.

Having ordered in a significantly stronger winter stock, based on demand at retail level, Stanforth commented: “Consumer confidence in ebikes has reached a tipping point and we are now looking to significantly increase our levels of stock in the UK.”

AVE, a brand carried by EBC, echoed Stanforth’s comments stating that the UK is now its fastest growing European market.

Stephan Hahn, owner of AVE said: “The UK is now our fastest growing European market. Obviously this is due to the proactive work of EBC supporting the brand, but we also believe it signifies a step change in regards to the consumer’s perception of ebikes. Thanks to some significant UK PR, ebikes are now being talked about as not only a viable, but a fun way to get around and this increase in public interest is translating in to sales.”

BikeBiz will tomorrow (Tuesday 27th) attend a Bicycle Association organised review of the market, reporting on the seminar in the January print edition.
