The US trade magazine will be published by the NBDA under license from current owner VNU Business Publications.

US equivalent to the ACT takes control of ‘Bicycle Retailer’

The National Bicycle Dealers Association will license the magazine for a minimum of three years, reported Bicycle Retailer’s website.

According to bicycleretailer.com, the March issue will be the first published by the NBDA. Under terms of the agreement, the NBDA will pay NBDA a licensing fee and royalties to VNU. In return the NBDA will assume control of the magazine and use the profits to "benefit the specialty bicycle retail channel".

There are no job losses as all editorial and sales staff have been retained by the NBDA. Publisher Marc Sani, a former editor of the magazine, remains too.
