US women’s MTB team does a ‘Calendar Girls’ calendar

"These girls are making mountain biking a lot prettier," says an article in America’s Bike magazine.

"Team Sugar is bringing some attention to their efforts in an otherwise male-dominated sport."

Manager and team founder Brook Shinsky – that’s her in the high heels above – is a buyer at White Pine Touring Company, a climb/hike/bike/ski shop in Park City, Utah.

On the calendar, she writes: "I wanted to find a way to introduce as many women to the sport of mountain biking as possible because I loved it so much. Also, working in a bike shop I began to realize that there were a lot of women who wanted to ride, but didn’t know how to begin."

The calendar costs $14 and is available in some select Park City outlets, including White Pine Touring.

Shinsky – the tease – promises "calendar signing parties."
