The 2003 event is being staged by the mayor’s office, the Mairie de Paris.
It’s expected 600 participants from 40 countries will attend.
At last years Velo-city, held jointly by the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, there were industry-focussed talks by the likes of Shimano Europe’s Hans Van Vliet. Yet despite the relevance to the cycle trade, very few members of the trade attend these kind of advocacy events.
Perhaps an IBD could submit a paper arguing the case for why IBDs and suppliers do not attend bike advocacy conferences!
