Through grant support from the Steve Morgan Foundation, Cycling Projects has announced the development of a North Wales region Wheels for All initiative that will bring cycling to many people regardless of their ability.
As part of the project, Cycling Projects is recruiting a Wheels for All Co-ordinator to help to deliver and develop a well-received inclusive cycling offer for the regions of Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy District Council with some potential engagement in Gwynedd.
As the Wheels for All co-ordinator, the successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of the inclusive cycling sessions, managing a growing network of partners, recruiting and retaining volunteers to support the programme across the North Wales region. Over the initial three-year funded programme, they will be part of an innovative organisation that will also establish three permanent Wheels for All settings – one per year across the specific regions.
For this innovative project, finding the right candidate is important. They will need to be a highly motivated individual with experience of working across a broad section of partners. They will ideally have experience of managing community projects and had experience of working with people of all abilities/or previously worked for a charity. They will need to be enthusiastic, driven, well organised and able to embrace cycling as a credible and beneficial activity for people regardless of their ability.
Essentially, the project will aim to create a solid movement of inclusive cycling activities across specific regions of North Wales. The candidate will be part of an effective and exciting movement of bringing cycling to people on a daily basis across many locations regardless of their ability.
The application deadline is Tuesday, October 31st.
