In the heart of 'trail centre' country, the show will be back in March

Welsh Cycle Show to return with new MTB Hall

The Welsh Cycle Show will return to Newport in South Wales from March 28th to 29th next year.

After a successful first year, the organisers are adding a second hall to the show dedicated entirely to mountain bike and the MTB lifestyle.

Situated in the heart of ‘trail centre’ country with Cwmcarn a few miles away, Newport is an ideal location for such a show, according to Red Cloud’s Mark Almond, who is overseeing the new MTB hall.

“As a mountain biker myself, I know that the UK mountain bike community has been asking for a dedicated show for some time. We want to celebrate all that is great about MTB and as South Wales is a destination for many a rider seeking the best trails, this is a great place to do it.”

The MTB hall will run alongside the road and track hall which, as in 2014, will be held in the Wales National Velodrome building. New for 2015 will be track competitions for local clubs and an ‘industry track racing challenge’ after doors close on the Saturday evening.

“Upon sounding some brands out about the idea before deciding to go ahead with the MTB hall we were immediately asked for stand space from all those we spoke to. We will be announcing a number of further attractions and features as the show draws closer but rest assured, the 2015 Welsh Cycle Show will be one to remember so don’t miss out," Almond added.
