Hans van Vliet, a corporate communicator at Shimano Europe for 28 years, has been appointed to the Corporate Social Responsibility committee of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry
He will bring the views of the bicycle industry on to the committee.
WFSGI, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, is the body responsible for liaising with the Union Cycliste Internationale over the controversial ‘Approved by UCI’ homologation programme.
WFSGI Secretary General Robbert de Kock said: “It is of great importance to have the opinion and involvement of Hans van Vliet as a representative of the bicycle industry. The CSR committee plays a leading role for the sporting goods industry.”
