World-class cycling heroes confirmed for Cycle Show 2016

Cycling legends from the track, road, MTB downhill and trials have been announced to appear at this year’s Cycle Show.

Reigning Olympic Team Pursuit world champions Ed Clancy MBE and Joanne Rowsell Shand MBE and three-time World Pursuit Champion Dani King will take to the stage at the NEC, Birmingham, for the fifteenth edition of the event.

It will be the first UK public appearance for JLT Condor rider Clancy and Wiggle Honda’s Rowsell Shand to follow the 2016 Rio Olympics, where they are tipped for Gold in the men’s and women’s Team Pursuit respectively.

Speaking on the announcement, Director of the Cycle Show, Chris Holman, said: “With Ed and Jo odds on for golds again, we couldn’t be happier to confirm they are coming back to the show to tell everyone about their latest track exploits in Rio.”

Also appearing at the show will be former professional downhill mountain biker, turned commentator and bike shop entrepreneur Rob Warner, who’ll be on stage with MTB photographer Steve Behr, former professional road cyclist and Vitus ambassador Sean Kelly and former British and World mountain bike trials champion Martyn Ashton,

Confirmed exhibitors this year include Cannondale, Condor, Trek, Canyon, Bianchi, Schwalbe, GoPro, Cube, Ridley, Saracen, Colnago, Whyte, Orange, Merckx and many more.

The Cycle Show takes place this September 23rd to 25th at the NEC, Birmingham. The UK’s longest running cycle exhibition, this year will see 283 companies taking part and over 28,000 visitors in attendance.
