Dutch e-bike turnover up 36% and shows no signs of slowing

With Holland well-established as the country with the biggest e-bike market it would be safe to assume that we will begin to see signs of saturation following fast growth throughout the past several years.

According to a Dynamo Retail Group survey, however, e-bike turnover is up a whopping 35.7% in January-September 2019.

The data, gathered across 319 Dutch stores, compared the first eight months against the same period in 2018, and found that total bikes sales were up 17%.

Regular bike sales, however, have remained flat, according to the survey. Turnover of city bikes, MTB’s, road bikes and kids bikes all remained around the same level as 2018.
