Yuba Bicycles is based in Sausalito, California and makes the Mundo Cargo Bike. USED GmbH of Germany is a distributor of Scooterbikes, Selle An-Atomica saddles, Xtracycle add-ons and Carry Freedom trailers.
The two companies have signed a cooperation agreement. USED GmbH will be distributing the Yuba Cargo Bike and its broad range of cargo carrying accessories in Europe.
Benjamin Sarrazin, Yuba Bicycles’ founder, sees the USED location in Germany as an asset for reaching European customers.
"USED’s operation is in the centre of Europe. It’s a great way to deliver effectively to customers in the UK, Germany and Italy."
USED and Yuba staff will handle customer service inquiries in German, English, French and Spanish.
Bob Giddens one of USED directors said he share’s Yuba’s dream of a world where cargo bikes are the norm: "We see the Mundo Cargo Bike as a Minivan, a healthy and green Minivan, that can carry stuff like a car but with no dependence on fossil fuel."
